EX-LIONSGATE STAFFER JOINS MOVING PICTURES TEAM


Los Angeles -- Moving Pictures Film & Television's fast-expanding distribution operation has added to its worldwide sales team former Lionsgate International staffer Romy Ricart. 

Ms. Ricart assumes her position as International Sales Executive on December 7 in Moving Pictures Santa Monica office.   Her responsibilities will concentrate on direct sales of MPFTV's 600 hours of film and TV programming, a catalog offering that recently incorporated Bennett Media Worldwide's lifestyle TV content and Victory's classic film titles, including "Wild Geese."  She will focus on selling rights to television and DVD buyers in German-speaking territories, Eastern and Central Europe, and Asia, as well as management of Moving Pictures' contract administration department.   

For the past year, she has served as international sales representative for Peak Global 
Entertainment of Los Angeles, mainly responsible for sales in German-speaking Europe, Latin America, and Asia.   

Prior to that, she was coordinator of international business development at Lionsgate International, focused on acquiring 300 hours of programming for new pay TV channels in Asia in 2007-2009.  She also was co-producer and second unit director of Lionsgate Films/Route Six Productions' "Route 666" feature in 2000.    

Fluent in German and Spanish, she is a graduate of George-August University in Goettingen, Germany, and was a scholarship student of UCLA's Education Abroad Program in Communications Studies.
