FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MOVING PICTURES FILM AND TELEVISION INKS THREE MAJOR OUTPUT AGREEMENTS FROM CANNES Deals with Polyphony for Australia, Septieme Factory for France and Cinema Novo CRL for Portugal Demonstrate Positive Momentum for Moving Pictures Film and Television (Cannes, France) - May 18, 2009 - Moving Pictures Film and Television (MPFTV) announced three major output deals with Polyphony for Australia, Septieme Factory for France and Cinema Novo CRL for Portugal. Each agreement will provide the rights to MPFTV's vast catalogue of film properties in the given territories and demonstrates positive momentum for the industry overall. MPFTV agreement with Polyphony will initially include distribution rights for 50 titles in Australia. Polyphony's Richard Sheffield will oversee the 5-year deal that can expand beyond the original 50 titles as certain performance levels are met. The agreement with Septieme Factory will initially encompass 45 MPFTV titles, including five Spanish-produced animated features. Controlled by Septieme Factory's film and television veteran, Nancy de Meritens, the agreement will continue to expand beyond the initial 45 titles as certain performance levels are met. Additionally, MPFTV also executed a 30 film output agreement with Cinema Novo CRL for Portugal. "For each distributor, the deals represent a continuous flow of marketable product, and for MPFTV it demonstrates the confidence of an influential distributor in each territory." MPFTV's catalogue spans genres including kids/family, drama, comedy, animation, sci-fi, horror and documentary. Polyphony is a 10-year old company based in Balmain, Australia. Septieme Factory is a 15-year old company based in Breitenbach, France.
