Marco is young and works in a Tollbooth in Southern Italy. He and his fellow workers dream of a better life. But everyday Marco's dreams seem to pass him by like the cars through his gate. His mother is over bearing and she does not want him to leave her. Marco is frustrated and all hope seems lost. Then one day he meets Sylvia, a beautiful young woman who moves next door. Life seems to be getting better for Marco as he begins a relationship with her, much to his mother's disapproval. But soon, things become more challenging as Marco is forced to vacate his apartment. Will Marco's dreams ever come true?
