Moving Pictures Film and Television, Ltd. ("MPF&TV" or "The Company") is a multi-media company incorporated in Delaware, headquartered in Santa Monica, with offices in Phoenix and New York and additional sales staff located world-wide. It owns the Moving Pictures branded products and a film distribution business.
The film distribution business. which became (MPF&TV), was launched during the Tribeca Film Festival in 2006. Since then it has steadily increased its library of films. Within the United States, it releases such films in theaters as "The Legend of Tillamook's Gold" and "Little Big Top", and sells movies like "Think Tank" and "Trainmaster" to DVD distributors and TV stations. Internationally, MPF&TV attends all of the major film and TV markets, where it sells films and TV series and represents other companies' libraries. As of August 2009, MPF&TV represents more than two hundred films and TV series.
During the summer of 2008, then-owner Maitland Primrose Group, Inc sold the Moving Pictures brand and assets to ICAP North America, and simultaneously signed an agreement to manage those assets for ICAP North America. MPF&TV is part of ICAP Media Markets. ICAP plc is the world's premier voice and electronic interdealer broker and provider of post-trade services; its daily electronic volume averages approximately US$260 billion.
MPF&TV stands tall in the ranks of mid-sized international sales organizations, and is growing fast, as a part of ICAP Media Markets. MPF&TV now positions itself as one of the world's leading licensors of film and television content, from kids/family, drama, romantic comedy, action/adventure and horror/thriller to television series and specials, documentaries and animated features and series.
Recent acquisitions include upcoming theatrical releases "Noble Things", "The Memsahib" and "The Graves" (part of the Horrorfest: 8 Films to Die For - 2010); Television movies "Think Tank" (from the producers of "Napoleon Dynamite"), "Train Master" and "The Controller"; and animated family films "Way of the Panda" and "The Happy Cricket".
